Bernardo Silva desperate for a move to Barcelona

During the January transfer window, the Citizens made a lot of transfers, and halfway through the season, Pep Guardiola’s team made an unusual financial splash. City added five players in the winter transfer window after acquiring Savinho and bringing back Ilkay Gundogan in the summer. The most notable addition was striker Omar Marmoush, who joined from Eintracht Frankfurt.

With Kevin de Bruyne’s contract expiring and his strongly rumored move to the MLS with San Diego FC, there may possibly be departures. De Bruyne isn’t the only person who might be moving, though, based on a recent event.

Spanish rumors indicate that Bernardo Silva will likely leave Man City at the end of the current campaign, most likely to join Paris Saint-Germain. Due to his quality and adaptability, Silva is reportedly already under a personal contract with PSG, who believe the attacking midfielder will be a perfect fit in Luis Enrique’s plans.

PSG has an agreement with Bernardo Silva

However, City is willing to let him go and has set his asking price at 50 million euros. Given how poorly he has performed this season, Pep Guardiola does not have faith in him for the upcoming campaign. The fact that Silva has only managed three goals and four assists in his 37 appearances across all competitions shows that his impact on the squad has diminished.

Even at 30, the midfield player is still focused on playing at the top level in Europe, despite attracting interest from up-and-coming leagues like the Saudi Pro League and the MLS. His Ligue 1 experience, where he excelled with Monaco before joining Manchester City, is also advantageous to PSG, which wants to bolster its roster with a qualified player who is accustomed to French football.
