Erling Haaland could reportedly have a way out of Manchester City, with Real Madrid keeping a close eye on the prolific Norwegian striker.

Erling Haaland’s Manchester City “Escape Route” Revealed Amid Real Madrid Interest

The 25-year-old has been in sensational form this season, scoring 11 goals in just nine Premier League appearances and continuing to establish himself as one of the best players in the world.

Despite signing a long-term contract that runs until 2034, reports suggest Haaland’s deal includes a release clause that could open the door to a future move.

According to journalist Jorge Picon, Haaland’s contract features an “escape route” that would allow him to join Real Madrid if certain conditions are met.

Picon revealed that the striker “would very much like to play for Real Madrid,” with his entourage confirming his admiration for the Spanish giants.

His agent, Rafaela Pimienta, has previously stated that Haaland “is the master of his own destiny,” hinting that his future will depend entirely on his own ambitions.

Losing Haaland would be a nightmare scenario for Pep Guardiola and Manchester City.

The forward has been described as a “phenomenon” by former footballer Pat Nevin, while Guardiola recently hailed him as being “better than ever” this season, even comparing his current form favourably to last year’s treble-winning campaign.

While the temptation of playing at the Santiago Bernabeu alongside stars like Kylian Mbappe and Vinicius Junior could be strong, Haaland seems fully committed to City for now.

He has repeatedly expressed happiness at the club and shown no public desire to leave.

However, in modern football, long contracts don’t always guarantee loyalty.

Real Madrid’s ongoing interest and Haaland’s reported admiration for the club mean this transfer story is unlikely to fade anytime soon.

For City, keeping their star striker content will be crucial in maintaining their dominance both in England and Europe.
