Erling Haaland ticked another stadium off his scoring list this weekend, leaving just one Premier League ground untouched as his first-half strike sealed a 1-0 victory for Manchester City against Brentford.
Haaland’s Historic Streak Continues with Decisive Brentford Goal
The Norwegian powerhouse needed just nine minutes to find the net at the Gtech Community Stadium, a venue where he had never previously scored in the league.
The goal arrived when he latched onto a long pass from Josko Gvardiol, muscled his way between two Brentford defenders, and fired a powerful shot past goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher.
This decisive moment means Haaland has now scored at 22 of the 23 Premier League stadiums he has played in, with Liverpool’s Anfield the sole remaining ground where he is yet to celebrate a league goal.
He will have his next opportunity to complete the set when Manchester City travel to Anfield in February.
Haaland’s latest goal is part of a remarkable run of form. He has found the net in nine consecutive matches for club and country, the longest scoring streak of his career.
His nine goals in the first seven matches of the 2025/26 Premier League season represent the third-best such start in the competition’s history, remarkably behind only his own records set in 2022/23 and 2024/25.
After the match, Haaland acknowledged his rich vein of form, stating, “I have never felt better than I do now,” and attributing part of his success to the mental balance brought by fatherhood.
The victory also served as a significant milestone for manager Pep Guardiola, marking his 250th Premier League win. He reached this landmark in just 349 games, making him the fastest manager in history to do so.
The win at Brentford helps Manchester City keep pace in the early title race, moving them up to fifth place and within three points of league leaders Arsenal.
