Jack Grealish is one of the highest paid Man City players

Jack Grealish, who agreed to leave Manchester City in an effort to jump-start his stalled career, is set to sign a season-long loan deal with Everton.

The City midfielder Grealish accepted an offer to play in Everton’s first season at Hill Dickinson Stadium over the weekend, reciprocating the club’s interest. The 29-year-old is hoping to make the transfer in time to play in Everton’s Premier League opener against Leeds. Monday is when he is scheduled to start a medical.

The city wants to recover the majority of Grealish’s £300,000 weekly salary, and Everton may have to spend more than £12 million after deducting a loan fee. City also wants to provide a permanent transfer option, but the £50 million asking price seems high for a player who will turn 30 in a year and be in the last year of his contract.

But it’s doubtful that the city’s financial demands will stop the relocation. Before the World Cup next summer, Grealish is committed to rekindling his career in the Premier League.

Everton agrees to season-long loan deal for Grealish

Argentine adolescent Claudio Echeverri made his debut during the FA Cup final loss to Crystal Palace, and manager Pep Guardiola benched him.

Grealish’s desire for a fresh start and a long-term new residence was acknowledged in June, but he now appears ready for a loan transfer.

He would have liked to sign with a Champions League side, but teams like Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United have not yet made an offer.

Although joining Everton won’t let him play in Europe, it will allow him to revitalize his career and take center stage at their brand-new Hill Dickinson Stadium.

Grealish declared last summer that he was heartbroken to be left out of the Three Lions selection for the 2024 European Championship, and he will be looking to regain his spot in the England squad.

Rarely has City’s squad structure given Grealish the freedom to take on and outshine opponents as he did with the same ease as the lucky captain of his boyhood team, Aston Villa.
