Bodo/Glimt defeated Manchester City 3-1 on Tuesday in the Champions League, ruining their chances of finishing in the top eight. Two minutes after the hosts had achieved their three-goal lead, Rayan Cherki’s strike gave Pep Guardiola’s team a 3-0 lead against the Norwegian team.
Marc Guehi and Antoine Semenyo have joined City during the transfer window. However, UEFA regulations prohibit fresh signings from being recorded until after the league phase; thus, the two were unable to play on Tuesday.
Transfer analyst Fabrizio Romano said that they are negotiating a deal for Oscar Bobb with Fulham. In an attempt to outbid some of its Premier League competitors for the player’s signature, the West London team has made an offer of £35 million.
“Fulham is in talks to sign Oscar Bobb from Man City on a permanent deal,” Romano stated. A proposal of about £35 million is being discussed and negotiated with MCFC. Borussia Dortmund has been interested since December and will shortly decide whether or not to bid.
Fulham in talks to sign Man City winger Bobb
There have been discussions between the two teams, according to sources who spoke to BBC Sport, although the Cottagers have not yet made a formal offer. Bobb, who has made 15 appearances for City this season without scoring, has also drawn interest from Borussia Dortmund of the Bundesliga.
When asked about Bobb’s injury, Guardiola said, “He says he is not fit, so he is not fit.” City will play Bodo/Glimt in the Champions League group round on Tuesday. Bobb could be permitted to depart this month, either on loan or on a permanent move, as Semenyo’s arrival creates competition on the right wing, where Brazilian Savinho also plays.
Under Marco Silva, Fulham has only dropped one of their last seven games, moving up to 11th place in the standings and the FA Cup fourth round. Bobb would play with fellow countryman Sander Berge at Craven Cottage. He has made six appearances for Norway this year, helping them qualify for the World Cup this summer. He broke a bone in his leg while training in August 2024, which kept him out of action for nearly the whole season.
