According to reports, Turkish champions Galatasaray have made a €3 million (£2.6 million) approach for Ederson from Manchester City. With the last 12 months of his contract approaching, the Brazil international’s future at the Etihad Stadium remains uncertain.

A possible summer transfer to the Saudi Pro League has been strongly suggested for Man City’s starting goalie. Ittihad and Al-Nassr are prepared to ‘aggressively seek’ a deal in order to sign the seasoned goalie.

The two Saudi Arabian teams are now up against Galatasaray, though, who are trying to find a player to replace Fernando Muslera. Galatasaray has reportedly increased their interest in Ederson by submitting an official transfer bid, according to L’Equipe.

According to the report, in an attempt to entice Ederson away from the Etihad Stadium, the Turkish powerhouses have put out an offer of €3 million (£2.6 million). It is hard to imagine Man City accepting such a modest sum, but they have not yet responded to the proposition.

Before the 2025–26 season, Galatasaray will undoubtedly need to make a bigger offer if they want to include the 32-year-old in Okan Buruk’s team.

Additionally, we learned that Galatasaray was considering signing the former Benfica star, and it appears that they have since increased their interest in him. Where Ederson ends up will be interesting to watch, although clubs may need to spend a little more than €3 million to acquire him. However, after a few somewhat subpar performances recently, his value will have undoubtedly decreased because he is no longer at the top of his game.

However, Ederson will undoubtedly receive a heartfelt send-off if he decides to depart, since his remarkable achievement during his time in Manchester has arguably made him a City legend. During his tenure in England, Ederson has participated in 372 games for City, winning six Premier League championships, four League Cups, two FA Cups, and the Champions League.
