Manchester City wants a full investigation after a Liverpool fan spat at their coaching staff during their Premier League encounter on Sunday evening. The incident happened when the City staff were celebrating Phil Foden‘s late equaliser.

Man City boss Pep Guardiola expect Liverpool to sort out matters. City have officially lodged a complaint with Liverpool after their backroom staff was spat at Anfield.

“I’m pretty sure Liverpool FC will take measures for this guy,” Guardiola addressed in his post-match press conference when someone asked on the matter.

He also added, “Liverpool is greater than this person. Liverpool in its history helps to make sport better. Always, there are people that will do that. I am sure they will investigate it. Like when they smashed up our bus. It’s always a pleasure coming to Anfield.”

“They [the staff] told me, but I didn’t see it. In every club there are people like this. Some can’t control their emotions,” Man City boss shares his point on this matter.
