Simon Jordan claims that Jack Grealish will be sold by Man City in the summer because it is no longer economical to keep him. Grealish received backlash after being spotted leaving a pub the day after his impressive FA Cup performance against Plymouth on March 1.
Since leaving Manchester United, Marcus Rashford has thrived, and Grealish has been linked to a similar transfer away from Man City. Given that the Sky Blues are having their worst season in years, the England international has come under fire even though it seems like he didn’t break any rules when he went out there.
Since the start of the year, Grealish has been available but has not been substituted by Guardiola against Arsenal, Brentford, Chelsea, and Liverpool in the Premier League, as well as against Club Brugge and Real Madrid in the Champions League (second leg of the playoffs).
According to some reports, City is currently in favor of Grealish leaving in the summer. He hasn’t improved on his promising performance during the treble season and hasn’t yet proven worth the money spent to bring him in from Aston Villa in 2021.
Guardiola to get rid of Jack Grealish at Man City
Omar Marmoush, Nico Gonzalez, Abdukodir Khusanov, and Vitor Reis were among the high-profile additions that cost the Cityzens a lot of money in January. However, the club will be trying to reduce the number of players when the summer transfer window opens.
According to the Daily Star, eight previous champions will be leaving the team. Grealish, Kevin De Bruyne, Bernardo Silva, John Stones, Mateo Kovacic, Ilkay Gundogan, and Ederson are a few examples of this. After returning from his loan stint at AC Milan, Kyle Walker is also anticipated to depart on a permanent basis.
Even though he has supported Grealish through thick and thin in the press, Guardiola isn’t sure if Grealish will succeed and be included in City’s summer roster overhaul following a lackluster campaign.
“Of course, I want the best for everyone, not just Jack,” Guardiola continued. Jack performed admirably in the most recent game; perhaps he can maintain that level of play. Without a doubt, he plays for Manchester City. What will happen next is a mystery to me.
