Manchester City did not put a timeline on KDB’s injury.
The Belgian midfielder is ruled out of the midweek Premier League clash against Aston Villa.
Kevin De Bruyne’s season has been hampered with injuries and the club is waiting to know the full extent of his foot and ankle injury.
De Bruyne limped off in the second half of the club’s FA Cup semi-final defeat to Chelsea.
The 29-year old midfielder has scored eight times in 32 games for the Cityzens this season.
He also signed a two-year contract extension that ties him at the Etihad until 2025.
