The report has indicated where Kyle Walker, the captain of Manchester City, is expected to go next summer for a mere £15 million. Since Pep Guardiola assumed leadership, Walker, 34, has been a pillar of Manchester City’s winning streak. Including the last four in a row, the right-back has six Premier League titles to his name. But at the club and international levels, it does seem like his influence is waning.
And The Daily Star has reported that Manchester City is prepared to let Walker go in 2025, ending his illustrious career at the Etihad. Walker, according to them, is up for sale, and Manchester City is willing to sell, therefore offers of about £15 million will be considered. Man City has Walker under contract till 2026. However, an exit in 2025 seems to be their greatest chance to recover a price, as the club has no intention of offering a new contract.
Man City ‘open to £15m bids’ for club legend
Walker and former City teammate Riyad Mahrez would get together if he moved to Al-Ahli. There are rumors that Walker will finish his career by going back to his childhood team, Sheffield United. It has been speculated that a move to Saudi Arabia is much more likely, though, given that the Blades are presently in the second division.
Rico Lewis has put more and more pressure on Walker to start this year. Throughout the Premier League season, Walker has appeared off the bench in two games and has only been used as a substitute once. Only three of his starts this season have come in the league.
