Jack Grealish’s Manchester City Career Effectively Over as Everton Loan Signals Exit

City Plan for Life Without Grealish After Everton Switch

Jack Grealish has played his final game for Manchester City, according to sources close to the club.

The 31-year-old winger will not receive a new contract at the Etihad, with his current deal expiring in June 2027.

City have already moved on from Grealish, planning for a future without him over the past 18 months.

His last appearance for the Citizens came as a brief 14-minute cameo against Bournemouth on the opening day of the season.

The England international sealed a loan move to Everton on Deadline Day, marking his second spell at Goodison Park.

He previously enjoyed a productive loan stint with the Toffees before an injury cut it short.

When asked this week whether he might play for City again, Grealish remained uncertain.

“I don’t know, honestly. I’ll just have to wait and see what happens. I just want to be enjoying myself, and that’s the main thing at the moment,” he said.

Grealish made his second Everton debut against Manchester United shortly after rejoining and is expected to start against Tottenham this weekend.

He will be eager to impress and put himself in the shop window for another move next summer when he becomes a free agent.

Everton manager David Moyes expressed delight at securing Grealish but has grown frustrated with the club’s limited transfer activity.

Sources suggest Moyes could consider leaving Everton after the January window if the board fails to back him with new signings.

For now, he remains committed to guiding the club toward European qualification.

Grealish’s time at City appears finished, with the club already building for life without him.
