Manchester City is thinking about making a bid for Eberechi Eze, a playmaker for Crystal Palace, for £68 million. Serial champions under Pep Guardiola are considering their options as Saudi team Al-Ittihad presents 33-year-old Kevin de Bruyne with a lucrative contract. Tottenham is interested in the impressive 26-year-old Eze because they want more talent between the lines.
The north Londoners, however, would be helpless to stop the player from giving in to the allure of the Etihad if City pursued their interest. Ever since Eze emerged as one of the Premier League’s biggest talents outside of the top four, City has been admiring him. With a release clause of £60 million plus add-ons, he still has three years left on his Palace contract.
Manchester City weigh up move for Eze
A source from Monday stated that De Bruyne, who has ties to the Saudi Pro League, was impressed by Al-Ittihad’s offer to sign him. The Belgian’s deal at the Etihad Stadium expires in 2025, therefore the team and player will need to make a quick decision on his future.
Manchester City is reportedly exploring a transfer for Eberechi Eze, according to a Mirror report. The club is reportedly evaluating their options after Al-Ittihad offered De Bruyne an enticing contract. Eze might not be the ideal choice for a midfielder because De Bruyne is perhaps the most creative midfield player the game has seen in decades.
