Joseph Fernandez’s contract will end next summer.

Espanyol forward Mateo Joseph Fernandez is getting a good response from Premier League clubs. Liverpool and Leeds are keen on the Spanish teenager.

Espanyol forward was born in Spain but his family are English so he qualifies for both countries, says the Daily Mail. Man City showed interest in the 17-year-old striker. English giants will also face the task of Barcelona, and Arsenal.

It is understood to have a £1.2million release clause in Joseph Fernandez’s contract which will end next summer.

Leeds are going ahead in the race for the Spanish teenager. If they agree on the clause, his family will be ready to move to England with Joseph Fernandez. Meanwhile, Manchester City are eager to stop the Espanyol forward from signing with Leeds.
