Josh Kimmich’s contract is coming to an end, and as Pep Guardiola looks to bring him back to Bayern Munich, Manchester City is in the driver’s seat to sign him. Joshua Kimmich is keen to work with Pep Guardiola again at Manchester City this summertime.
When the Catalan was in charge, the German midfielder arrived at Bayern Munich. Months of contract negotiations have been ongoing between Kimmich and the Bavarians, but he has continuously declined to sign a new agreement because he wants a fresh challenge.
Bayern must trade Kimmich this summer since he only has a year left on his current contract. Kimmich has been a constant for Germany at the Euros. For £30 million, which would be a great deal for a player of his caliber, it appears like he will be leaving the Allianz Arena.
Joshua Kimmich interested in Man City but he really wants clarity on Pep Guardiola
The player in question is Joshua Kimmich, who was reported last week to be unwilling to extend his contract beyond 2025, with both him and Bayern Munich believed to be ready to part ways this summer.
The Sun have reported that while Kimmich is “swaying” towards a move to Manchester City, he would like to know if Pep Guardiola intends to sign a brand-new deal beyond 2025. While Vincent Kompany is open to Kimmich staying at the Allianz Arena, Bayern are willing to sell him for £40 million in the summer instead of losing him on a free transfer next year.
