According to speculations, Ederson will join Fenerbahce this summer once Manchester City agrees to a trade for their longtime number one pick. After eight excellent seasons at the Etihad Stadium, the Brazilian international has been the focus of intense speculation all summer long, and his future is becoming more and more unclear.
After recent moves by Fenerbahce to overtake rivals Galatasaray in the race for the player’s signature, Ederson, who has been continuously linked to Saudi Arabia since 2024, now seems prepared to move to Turkey.
Although rumors over the last few days have indicated that Fenerbahçe returned with revised conditions, including extra bonus clauses, in an effort to reach a settlement, Manchester City had first refused previous proposals and maintained their €15 million value of the goalkeeper.
It appears that the two clubs have now reached an agreement, allowing Ederson to go before the transfer window closes and allowing Gianluigi Donnarumma to join from Paris Saint-Germain.

Ederson is nearing a deal with Fenerbahçe, according to Romano’s post on X, with a verbal agreement in place for his exit from Man City on the deadline day. After leaving Benfica to join Man City in the summer of 2017, Ederson played 372 games for the team, with 168 clean sheets and 311 goals against.
Pep Guardiola started James Trafford in place of the Brazilian goalkeeper for City’s first three Premier League games of the season, leaving him on the bench. During his tenure at Etihad Stadium, Ederson won every major championship imaginable, including the 2023 Champions League and six Premier League crowns.
Romano also disclosed that City had Gianluigi Donnarumma on their radar as a potential goalkeeper. The Italian international, who is presently playing for Paris Saint-Germain, is thought to be the best long-term option to take Ederson’s job. As City looks to add another elite option between the posts, negotiations are anticipated to take place in the days ahead.
