Man City have turns down Al-Nassr's opening offer for goalkeeper Ederson

Man City are now facing a battle to retain Ederson’s services for the new season

Manchester City have reportedly refused Al-Nassr’s opening offer for goalkeeper Ederson. The 30-year-old joined Man City from Benfica in the summer of 2017.

The Brazilian shot-stopper has made 332 appearances for the club. He helped his club win six Premier League titles, four EFL Cups, two FA Cups, a Champions League, a UEFA Super Cup and a FIFA Club World Cup.

Ederson still remains a key player and, Man City are now facing a battle to retain his services for the new season. He had been the subject of a £25m bid from the Saudi Pro League club.

It also includes Al-Nassr who signed players like Cristiano Ronaldo, Sadio Mane, Marcelo Brozovic and Aymeric Laporte. As per reports of the Mirror, the Cityzens have rejected Al-Nassr’s initial offer.

Al-Nassr are trying to make a huge offer for Man City man worth around €60m. The Cityzens may be willing to offer him a new contract. As per current trends, Brazilian is ready for a fresh challenge and is keen to complete a move to the Saudi Pro League.

Stefan Ortega will be promoted to Pep Guardiola’s first-choice goalkeeper. He kept eight clean sheets in 20 appearances last season. His contract will expire in the summer of 2026.
