It was only a matter of time until Julian Alvarez left Manchester City for Atlético Madrid. The Citizens are currently searching for a new forward, though. And this was the point at which the goals of the current English champion and another elite Premier League team aligned.
The Wolverhampton forward Pedro Neto, who is also considering Tottenham and Arsenal, is reportedly a target for Manchester City, according to TeamTALK. If a big club makes the Portuguese an offer, the Wolves camp has acknowledged that they will not be able to be at the barrier.
The amount Manchester City is willing to pay for the 24-year-old forward is still unknown, but it is believed that Wolverhampton would be forced to let go of Neto if they were to receive an offer of around £60 million.

Neto’s management are in “regular contact” with Tottenham, who have long been admirers of the 24-year-old, as transfer expert Fabrizio Romano recently disclosed to GIVEMESPORT. Romano claims that whether or not both clubs can agree on a transfer deal will determine how serious Spurs are about pursuing the talented winger.
The transfer of Matheus Nunes to Manchester City for £53 million last summer may soon be eclipsed by Neto, who Wolves value at roughly £65 million. But given his recent history of injuries, Spurs are skeptical. With team captain Max Kilman leaving for West Ham in a £40 million deal last month, Wolves are apparently not in a rush to part with their best player.
