According to reports, Manchester City is willing to spend more than £50 million for right-back Tino Livramento of Newcastle United, but there are two other options. Last season, Pep Guardiola’s team finished in third place, their lowest position since 2016–17, and were overtaken by Liverpool as Premier League winners.

City is still searching for more defensive reinforcements after spending a lot of money in the summer transfer window to recapture their title, on top of their January expenditure. The team may struggle unless they replace veteran right-back Kyle Walker, who left for Burnley, according to the opinions of the fans.

According to TBR Football, the Citizens may make a sizable offer to Newcastle for Livramento. However, if their efforts to sign the defender are unsuccessful, they are rumored to have identified Juventus players Andrea Cambiaso and Nicolo Savona as backup targets.

Man City launch ‘fresh approach’ for Newcastle star with £50m+

According to a recent report from The Boot Room, Newcastle is willing to make Livramento one of their top earners, a tactic they have previously employed to hold onto Alexander Isak, a wanted Liverpool player. According to the article, City has “made a fresh approach” to signing Livramento, which coincides with this strategy.

The 2022–2023 treble champions have made Ligamento their main priority and would be prepared to spend more than £50 million for the right-back. Sadly for City, their Premier League rivals are determined to keep the England international at the club this summer and have spoken to his camp about extending his stay and raising his pay to put him among the better earners. In addition, City has two possible backup plans at Juventus in case a deal for Livramento doesn’t work out.
