Man City to make move for RB Leipzig’s Dani Olmo next summer

Transfer insider Gianluca Di Marzio claims that Manchester City is pressing to sign attacker Dani Olmo of RB Leipzig. The prolific Spanish striker has warned any prospective suitors that his £50 million release clause expires on July 20th.

Di Marzio claims that Man City is now eager to finalize the acquisition of Spain’s Euro 2024 hero and to pay the whole transfer fee. These past few seasons, the Premier League winners have kept an eye on Olmo’s progress; Di Marzio claims that Pep Guardiola is “a great admirer” of the Spaniard.

Arsenal, Manchester United, and Liverpool are among the Premier League teams that have been keeping an eye on Olmo in recent weeks. He made an impression at the Euros, where he scored three goals and provided two assists for La Roja.

Pep Guardiola Admires Dani Olmo

Manchester City is prepared to fully pay Olmo’s €50 million release clause, according to Di Marzio. The Premier League heavyweights may make Olmo their second summer acquisition as they prepare to announce the arrival of Troyes winger Savio. Olmo has been called the “complete package” by Bulgarian freelance journalist Kai E. Iliev.

During the summer, the attacking midfielder in Germany was a sight to behold, scoring three goals to share the Golden Boot and adding two assists. Additionally, it is well known that Guardiola greatly admires the £152,000-per-week Leipzig player.

With his technical prowess and his work ethic demonstrated when he came back to clear a late England chance off the line on Sunday, Olmo’s potential fit at City is very apparent.
