Premier League winners have set an asking price of €80m for Raheem Sterling.

Manchester City striker Raheem Sterling is linked with Barcelona and considering this transfer move, the Premier League winners have set an asking price of €80m for the 26-year-old player.

The England international has struggled for regular minutes at the Etihad. He has scored just two goals in his past 16 Premier League appearances for City. The 26-year-old winger has the high possibility of leaving Man City.

Barcelona are believed to be the front-runner in signing Sterling. Marca are reporting that City are willing to sell Sterling if they get a suitable offer from other clubs.

Sterling’s contract will expire in two years, but City will offer no discount on England international. He joined the city from Liverpool in 2015 and scored 115 goals in 303 appearances across all competitions. He has won three Premier League titles for Man City.

Rooney could walk away from Derby given their financial issues.

Former Manchester United star emerges as a short term option for Newcastle United. Wayne Rooney might replace Steve Bruce as the new manager and Derby coach is interested in taking the Newcastle job on a short-term basis.

New owners of the Magpies will sack their current manager Steve Bruce soon. Before reaching the final option, they are looking for a short-term option and Rooney has emerged as a potential candidate.

The former England captain and United star is currently in charge of Championship side Derby County. His numbers with Derby aren’t convincing. He has won just 13 of his 50 fixtures in charge with the Championship side. They are currently at the bottom of the second tier.

The Chronicle reports that Rooney could walk away from Derby given their financial issues. The 35-year-old would look to take the first-team coach and former Magpies favourite Shay Given with him to the North East.

It would be interesting to know how the new ownership would make a move for Rooney considering his poor numbers in his managerial career at Derby.
