Manchester City squad 2024/25 – all Man City goalkeepers 2025
- Ederson
- Scott Carson
- Stefan Ortega
Brazilian goalkeeper Ederson ended the 2019/20 campaign with 16 clean sheets, highest in the Premier League. Manchester City signed new goalkeeper Stefan Ortega for around $7 million but was sent out on loan to Fortuna Düsseldorf in the Bundesliga for the 2019–20 season. They also signed Scott Carson as a third-choice goalkeeper. Claudio Bravo left the club on August 18, 2020 after spending four years at the club.

- Jahmai Simpson-Pusey
- Josko Gvardiol
- Christian McFarlane
- Rico Lewis
The Man City defence were robust in the 2020/21 season. Pep’s team finished the season with a +67 goal difference thanks to their steely defence and electric attack. City have been fantastic at the back and they have kept a number of clean sheets. They spent over £100 million on defenders during the summer in 2017, bringing in the likes of Kyle Walker from Tottenham, Benjamin Mendy from Monaco and Danilo from Real Madrid.
City also signed Aymeric Laporte from Athletic Bilbao and he looks like a class defender with great passing and defending. But the team still needs to find a perfect replacement for Vincent Kompany. This has been perhaps Pep’s greatest improvement this season as City manager had very few accountable options at the backline. Josko Gvardiol is the fresh entry in the squad as he was signed from RB Leipzig in the previous summer.

- Rodri
- Matheus Nunes
- Mateo Kovacic
- Nico Gonzalez
- Ilkay Gundogan
- Bernardo Silva
- Kevin De Bruyne
- Claudio Echeverri
- James McAtee
The Blues bid goodbye to David Silva who has won 11 major trophies during his decade spell with the club. City have what is regarded as one of the best midfield in the league. They have some truly world-class players in their ranks when it comes to the midfield. Kevin De Bruyne was their record signing, a man who they paid £55million for. However, he has completely justified that pricey fee.
Their squad depth in midfield is fantastic as they have lots of fantastic players. If De Bruyne can’t play, they have players like Phil Foden and Bernardo Silva who can take his place. They signed Ilkay Gundogan in 2016 and he had a really good start to his Man City career before suffering a serious injury just before Christmas. This season they have improved even more with Leroy Sane and Raheem Sterling, in particular, impressing.
City improved their squad depth further after signing Rodri from Atletico Madrid this summer as a successor for the ageing Fernandinho.
De Bruyne became the quickest player to reach 50 assists and finally equalled Thiery Henry’s assist record, after racking up 20 this season.
He has been awarded the Premier League Playmaker of the Season and PFA Players’ Player of the Year.
Manchester City squad 2024/25 – all Man City forwards 2024
- Jérémy Doku
- Jack Grealish
- Phil Foden
- Savinho
- Oscar Bob
- Omar Marmoush
- Erling Haaland
These are the strikers in the Manchester City squad. The signing of Jack Grealish has been a stroke of genius by Pep Guardiola. They already have a truly world-class striker in Erling Haaland. Bernardo Silva, Raheem Sterling and Riyadh Mahrez provide adequate depth and competition on the flanks.
Leroy Sane left the Etihad for Bayern Munich for a reported £40.77m. In terms of performance, City weren’t bad last season. They scored 102 goals scored in the Premier League, 17 more than Premier League champions Liverpool.
Best players in the current Manchester City squad
Erling Haaland and Kevin De Bruyne is still considered to two of the best Man City players this season. The Belgian was a former Chelsea player. He came from Genk to Chelsea at the age of 20 and was largely mishandled by Jose Mourinho, who was the Chelsea boss at that time.
Jose continued to stick with Oscar forcing De Bruyne to seek an exit who ended up going to Germany. Over there he discovered his true potential and was irresistible for Wolfsburg where he made the highest number of assists for two seasons in a row.
It resulted in the City breaking the bank for him. However, many were still sceptical about KDB’s ability to shine in the Premier League.
Back in England, with Manchester City, Kevin De Bruyne wreaked havoc. In his spell here for four seasons and a little more, no one has made more goals than him. He also has created the most number of chances, with impeccable passing accuracy in the final third and a knack for racking goals as well besides assisting his teammates.
He won the Best Midfielder in the World award in 2019 and rightly so after his performances were due for recognition for a long time.
He is now the best player for City and Belgium and also in England. Watch & Bet on Football =>
Most valuable players in the Manchester City squad
Phil Foden and Rodri are two of the best and most valuable players in Man City squad this season.
Phil Foden
Originally from the area, Foden has become a top-tier playmaker. He’s a vital asset for City because of his versatility, dribbling, creativity, and goal-scoring ability. Even at 24, he still has several more years to reach his prime.
Rodri
Rodri is an essential part of Manchester City’s tactical scheme and is regarded as one of the world’s top defensive midfielders. He is essential because he can break up play, control the tempo, and contribute offensively. Watch & Bet on Football =>
Man City Squad, Team & All Players Previous Seasons
Man City had spectacular 2018/19 season. Manager Pep Guardiola improved upon his first season managing in England where he only finished in the top four and failed to win any major trophies. But in the 2018/19 season, City swept away the league with his brand of entertaining, attacking football. City not only won the league- easily, but they also broke a number of records on along the way and won a historic domestic treble including the FA Cup and the Carabao Cup.
But in the 2019/20 season, Manchester City lost the Premier League and FA Cup crowns but managed to claim the Community Shield by beating Liverpool at the beginning of the season and won a third League Cup over Aston Villa at Wembley. This year City faced a third straight quarterfinal elimination in the Champions League which is simply not good enough and the season must be as a failure despite the team finishing second in the Premier League.
Here we have the full Manchester City Squad, Team and All Players list from previous seasons. We have included the squad from previous years too, if you want to take a trip down memory lane. But first, we have the Manchester City Squad, Team and All Players list from the last seasons.

Legendary players in the Manchester City squad
Here are some previous Man City players. Sergio Aguero and Raheem Sterling are two players that are considered legends in Man City.
Sergio Aguero scored 186 goals in the Premier League is a record for a non-Englishman. He is by far the best striker EPL has seen in the last decade, not just for City but in all of England.
Sergio Aguero
At the age of 31, he was the potent focal point of City’s attack and the man who can decide games at the drop of a hat.
‘Aguerooooooooo‘ is the scream we hear every time we think of this man. 186 goals in the Premier League is a record for a non-Englishman. He is by far the best striker EPL has seen in the last decade, not just for City but in all of England.
He has a mean demeanour but is extremely robust. Adding to his strength is his agility quick feet and a lethal finishing ability. Aguero is famously known for the moment when the scored the winner in a 3-2 win over QPR in the dying seconds of the game to hand Manchester City their first title in 44 years by beating their arch-nemesis Manchester United on goal difference in the final league game of the season at Etihad!
The likes of Aguero are definitely PL greats having won multiple golden boots despite many injuries and had he been slightly luckier with those, he might have gotten himself a Ballon d’Or as well.
His last spell was at Barcelona for the 2021/22 season, but the 33-year-old striker had to retire midway as he was diagnosed with a heart condition.
Raheem Sterling
The Englishman joined Manchester City from Liverpool as a teenager. At that time, he became the most expensive English player transfer after his exploits at Anfield.
From there on, he has grown from strength to strength at City going on to become one of the best players in the Premier League right now.
He has the lethality of a good finisher, he is an exceptional dribbler and loves to play in Pep’s system where he is simply untouchable when on song.
