Ederson’s contract will expire in two years and there is a rumour that he might leave the club.
Man City are planning to sell out their first-choice goalkeeper Ederson and they will take offers in excess of £40m in this summer’s transfer window.
Ederson has been a standout performer for Man City under Pep Guardiola. The 30-year-old made the move to the Etihad Stadium from Benfica in 2017.
The Brazil international has kept 155 clean sheets in 332 appearances for the Cityzens across all competitions. He also has won a total of 17 trophies same like Pep Guardiola.
He has won more titles than any other goalkeeper in Premier League history, overtaking Peter Schmeichel. He recently won his 6th Premier League trophy in 7 attempts.
His contract will expire in two years and there is a rumour that he might leave the club. There is a “possibility” that the Brazilian could leave Man City if a “good proposal” is presented to him this summer.
Saudi Pro League clubs are willing to pay around £25m to sign him to the Middle East. The Cityzens have decided to move on from him and find a new option with gloves.
As per reports of Football Insider, the Cityzens are now ‘seriously considering’ selling Ederson this summer and would look to accept offers in excess of £40m.
Stefan Ortega will continue in place of Ederson and he has impressed in small outings. He is supposed to be a first-choice goalkeeper.
Ederson is now recovering from a broken eye socket injury that forced him to miss City’s final two games of the season and has also ruled him out of the 2024 Copa America.
