Manchester City vs PSG Head To Head

Even if they receive a huge transfer offer, Paris Saint-Germain has reportedly ruled against selling Joao Neves, a target for Manchester City. Given the likelihood that players would leave in 2026, the Citizens may try to strengthen their engine room in that year.

Kalvin Phillips is probably going to leave in one of the next two transfer windows, and Bernardo Silva has entered the last year of his deal. Another midfield player facing an unclear future is Mateo Kovacic, who was linked to a possible summer transfer.

Man City appears to have identified Neves of PSG as a potential transfer target, as they are open to adding midfield reinforcements.

Fichajes claims that Pep Guardiola’s team is prepared to shell out up to €120 million (£105 million) to entice Neves to leave the Parc des Princes. The report asserts, however, that PSG will not agree to such a deal and will not attend the negotiation table in exchange for payment.

Man City suffer Neves transfer blow

Manchester City has had their eye on Joao Neves for a while. Given that Bernardo Silva has entered the final 12 months of his contract and faces an uncertain future at the Etihad, the ongoing interest is justified. The former Benfica star is now in the last 12 months of his contract, having been with Manchester City for almost ten years.

Silva might depart Manchester City next year, according to recent sources. But it won’t be shocking to see City competing for the long-serving playmaker’s continued stay, given Pep Guardiola appointed him the team’s captain. However, Neves can be a comparable replacement for Silva, making him a realistic target for Manchester City.

All formal approaches from Manchester City for the young player will be rejected by PSG, though, and they will not consider any offers to part ways with Neves. The 21-year-old Portuguese international will therefore not be leaving anytime soon.
