Manchester City have reportedly launched a fresh approach to sign Tino Livramento, with sources revealing they’re prepared to pay in excess of £50 million for Newcastle’s highly rated full‑back.

Man City’s offer might be £65m but Newcastle demand £80m for Livramento

City are still adjusting to life without Kyle Walker who moved to Burnley and have identified Livramento as their top target to fill the right-back role.

Their interest comes after £126 million already spent this summer on midfield and defensive reinforcements.

However, Newcastle are digging their heels in. Manager Eddie Howe and sporting leadership are set to offer Livramento a six-year contract, elevating him to one of their highest earners.

They’ve reportedly placed an £80 million price tag on him, a figure that Guardiola’s side see as excessive.

The 22-year-old England U21 star played a pivotal role in Newcastle’s Carabao Cup securing their first major trophy in 70 years, and helped England retain the Euro U21 Championship in June.

His dominant performances both domestically and internationally have caught Manchester City’s full attention.

Livramento’s versatility comfortable at right or left-back adds value, but Newcastle’s insistence on keeping him could pressure City to consider alternatives.

Juventus pair Andrea Cambiaso and Nicolo Savona are named as backup targets should negotiations falter, and City reportedly passed on Denzel Dumfries despite having an early release clause.

Newcastle, buoyed by Champions League qualification and a stronger financial position, are banking on holding their star asset.

They plan to reel in transfer speculation by committing to Livramento’s future at the club even amidst interest in Alexander Isak and other first-team players.
