Pep Guardiola is confident about Manchester City's position to defend against all the financial allegations

Pep Guardiola won’t win another big championship with Manchester City, according to Dietmar Hamann. With six Premier League titles, two FA Cups, four League Cups, and a Champions League, the Spanish superstar has been a mainstay at the Etihad Stadium for nine years.

Even though he signed a new two-year contract in November, there is still a lot of conjecture around his future at Manchester. Last season, City finished in third place in the Premier League, lost to Real Madrid in the Champions League knockout round, lost to Tottenham Hotspur in the round of 16 of the League Cup, and lost to Crystal Palace in the FA Cup final.

The Citizens were similarly disappointed at the summer’s Club World Cup in America, as they lost to Al-Hilal in the round of 16. Hamann, a former City player, also thinks Guardiola’s heyday at the team is over.

Pep Guardiola’s future verdict after token gesture

“I think everything comes to an end,” the 52-year-old told the MEN through Grosvenor Casinos. After eight years or so, we’ve seen [Jurgen] Klopp go from [Liverpool]. He said that he needs a break since it has been so taxing.

“Guardiola has been there for at least one or two more seasons now, and his work is really demanding. You have a lot of obligations. It’s not only about the sport; it’s also about the travel and press obligations.

It simply saps your energy. I was shocked that he was still in charge at the conclusion of the season, and I felt the same way last season. Given all of his outstanding accomplishments, they most likely won’t fire him. Of course, Manchester City is run by [Txiki] Begiristain and all the Barcelona players.

“I believe that life with City is over. Guardiola is still there; I know that. I don’t see him winning a major championship at City again, such as the Premier League or the Champions League, as I stated in the summer before the season began.
