Alexis Mac Allister of Argentina and Brighton have been the subject of internal talks at Premier League champion Manchester City

In the upcoming summer transfer window, City are looking to secure a strong centre of the park for Pep Guardiola and his coaching team, which has sparked interest in the South American sensation. Pep Guardiola signed a contract extension during the World Cup, giving the Catalan manager of Manchester City two more seasons on his present contract after this one.

Officials at the Club, however, have been left in the dark about some aspects of their summer transfer plans as a result of Ilkay Gundogan and Bernardo Silva’s failure to provide any form of clarity regarding their respective futures at the Etihad Stadium beyond this season.

As a result, the process of creating a list of transfer targets is well under way, and with it, admiration for Brighton’s Alexis Mac Allister, an Argentinian World Cup winner and Julian Alvarez’s national colleague.

According to a recent update on the in-demand 24-year-old, City are reportedly now in talks with the player inside the City Football Academy headquarters, but they are undoubtedly not the only club with a tenuous interest in the midfielder.

According to Ben Jacobs’ information, Alexis MacAllister has been discussed privately at both Manchester City and Manchester United, but that is all that is known at this time.
