Pep Guardiola wants the squad to take incredible opportunity at Crystal Palace.

Man City will be crowned three times in four years if they manage to beat the Eagles on Saturday and Liverpool beat Man United at Old Trafford on Sunday.

Guardiola believes this a very tedious job for the squad as they are facing their sixth away game in a row.

Guardiola said: “Let me travel to London this afternoon, try to wake up good tomorrow and try to win the game.

“The rest we cannot control. It is a tough job. Crystal Palace has always been so difficult for us, I don’t remember an easy game when we play against them.

“United are an extraordinary team. They’ve arrived in their best form of the season in the last two months.

“We need five points to be champions. Tomorrow (Saturday) we have an incredible opportunity to make this next step. Once we win this game, if it happens, we will think about what will happen.

“Now I cannot explain about the feelings in the future because I haven’t experienced it.”

Harry Kane Almost Certain To Leave Spurs For Manchester City Or United

Harry Kane’s time at Tottenham Hotspur is close to being over.

The striker has very clearly outlined what he wants to achieve in the remainder of his career. At 27, he is at the peak of his profession and has yet to win a silverware with Spurs.

In response to Kane’s quotes, former Spurs midfielder, Jamie O’Hara told talkSPORT, “After that statement, he’s obviously going to leave. I can see him going to one of the Manchester clubs.

“I can see him at City and United. As a Spurs fan, selfishly, I’d love him to stay, I’d love him to be at the football club because he’s just so professional. It’s so great what he’s done.

“But you cannot begrudge him leaving because watching that final, we were miles off it. We’re miles away from winning a trophy.

“I just can’t see us competing at the level he wants to be. You have to let him go.

“This is his big move. It’s the one move where he can go for a lot of money. I’d love to see him go and play for Real Madrid. He’d do great. But I just think he will be at a Manchester club.”

Pep Guardiola Has No Plans Of Changing Manchester City’s Identity Against PSG

Pep Guardiola Has No Plans Of Changing Manchester City's Identity Against PSG

Manchester City will stick to their identity in return tie against PSG, Pep Guardiola stated.

After beating the Ligue 1 champions 2-1 in the first leg, Guardiola will be aiming to win the tactical battle with Mauricio Pochettino once again in Manchester.

He said, “We started well in the opening minutes, but after that we conceded a goal. We did not play in the necessary way in this competition in the 1st half, loosely. But it is not easy vs PSG, as soon as you lose the ball Neymar, Di Maria or Mbappé are threatening you.

“We were more aggressive after, better with the ball, we were able to move the game and we return to Manchester with a good result. In fact, we did not change much at half-time, I just said to the guys: ‘Play football, demonstrate your personality, if we lose, we lose, but do it by being ourselves.’

“They wanted to do it but they were not able to do it because we were more aggressive. If you let Verratti or Marquinhos find Neymar it is more complicated, but in the second half we did not let them breathe. They could perhaps innovate, but you know, we want to play with our personality to make the final. That is what we have to do.”

Neymar and Mbappe has kept Pep Guardiola awake at night.

Manchester City faces PSG in the first-leg semi-final of the Champions League at Parc des Princes on Wednesday night.

Pep Guardiola hasn’t won a Champions League since 2011 and believes it would be a heavy task to stop PSG superstars Neymar and Kylian Mbappe.

He said: “I believe that with the amount of quality that these players have, there are no defensive strategies to stop them.

“They are too good. I tried to sleep well last night – I slept well when I was not thinking of them. That is the reality.

“They are incredibly top top players, that is why they play in that team with the quality they have.

“We are going to try to stop them – and the way we are going to do that is to defend well altogether as a team and play good football as a team and try to score goals.

“Of course we have to adjust something a little bit when we play against those players.

“But at the same time we will have no sense (of fear). We fought too hard to arrive at this stage for just the second time in our history for these players not to be who we are.

“We will try to impose ourselves, to be who we have been in these five years together. I am sure we will try to be ourselves and get the result we need for the second leg.”

Former Spurs manager Pochettino praises Guardiola ahead of Champions League clash.

Mauricio Pochettino and Pep Guardiola have never seen eye to eye but the former Spurs manager hails Guardiola as the ‘best manager’ in the world.

Pochettino once labeled Guardiola as disrespectful for referring Tottenham as the ‘Harry Kane team’.

Both the managers lock horns to renew their rivalry in the Champions League semifinals on Wednesday.

‘For me, he is the best,’ said Pochettino, 49. ‘I admire him and think he is doing a fantastic job not only at Manchester City but in Barcelona and Bayern Munich.

‘He is an amazing, intelligent coach, always thinking of different strategies and game-plans. I love to challenge him and the teams he prepared.

‘Not only the best manager. The club is important, too. A club that trusts you to build a team and provides you with all the tools to be successful. That is the combination at Manchester City between Pep, the coaching staff, the club, the board, everyone.

‘They create an amazing structure, very solid, and a very clear idea of how they need to act to be successful.’

Raheem Sterling Earned Manager's Praise For Cup Final Showing

Raheem Sterling might once again have made it into Pep Guardiola’s good books.

After a dreary performance against Chelsea in the FA Cup semi-final, the England international seemed to have redeemed himself on Sunday.

Manchester City ran out 1-0 winners over Tottenham Hotspur in the Carabao Cup final. Sterling and the rest lifted their first silverware of the season with more expected to follow.

“Amazing [performance],” Guardiola said at his post-match press conference. “He showed the opponent we came here to win the game in the first actions. He was incredibly aggressive.

“[Serge] Aurier is a fast defender and they are incredibly good at defending the shot and the blocks. [Hugo] Lloris made some incredible saves but he was brilliant.

“We have no doubts of that, the mentality is great, he trained well and he made an incredible performance. He deserves it, he created a lot of chances and made a couple of assists for Ilkay [Gundogan]. All the players were brilliant.”

Manchester City Lucky To Have A Captain Like Fernandinho

Fernandinho feels proud to lead this Manchester City team.

Pep Guardiola handed the armband to him after David Silva’s departure last summer.

“It’s a real honour to be captain of this club, from the moment I was asked it has been a pleasure,” Fernandinho declared. “It was a special moment for me and it’s something I am really enjoying. I try to put myself in the best position possible to help everyone at the football club at any time, on and off the pitch.

“The responsibility is high, but that’s something I like so now I just say ‘let’s get ourselves ready for the final part of the season and let’s achieve our goals.’

“We want to achieve our goals this season and I hope that we get to celebrate that at the end of the season.

“I’ve been here for eight seasons now and I spent a lot of time with the club’s former captains, who I spoke to about the role within the squad.

“So, the level of responsibility was not a surprise to me, but I am trying to do my best as always and it really is a pleasure to be in the position that I am in.

“It’s a role I am proud to have, I am involved in a lot off the pitch, I get to talk to a lot of people, it’s my job to help fix things if they’re not going right and that’s something I have enjoyed.

“The best way to enjoy something is to always do your best when you are doing it and to help others to also do their best. This isn’t a role that is just about the football, it’s as important a role off the pitch as it is on it.”

Ruben Dias Hailed Manchester City's On-Field Chemistry

Ruben Dias has praised Manchester City’s togetherness in a difficult campaign.

Despite their exit from the FA Cup this week, The Cityzens are still gallantly chasing silverware this season.

Dias opened up on how the team has stuck together throughout the campaign. He said, “People can talk about me and John, but as well talk about every other relationship we have on the field between two, three, all of the 11 players playing on the field.

“It is a going to war thing and (saying): ‘OK, you’re in trouble, I will help you out and be there for you. Whenever you make a mistake, I will be there for you. Whenever you are not in the best mood or the best moment, I will be there for you.’

“We have just grown that culture since the beginning, that makes everyone feel better about the guy next to him.

“It makes you feel more confident and like you are unstoppable because you are all on the same page. I think that is the main goal we have achieved.”

City face off against Tottenham next in the Carabao Cup. It will be their third consecutive triumph if they manage on Sunday.

Manchester City are edging closer to their Premier League title.

The Cityzens are 11 points clear at the top with five games left after their 2-1 comeback win at Aston Villa on Wednesday.

Phil Foden scored 14 goals for Pep Guardiola’s side this campaign and also scored in City’s comeback win over Aston Villa.

“I’ve known him about five years, since he was a little boy and he’s showed his quality, no doubt about that,” Fernandinho said.

“He’s matured and is taking the actions better, again he scored today and he’s been awesome.

“I’m so pleased and happy for him because he’s a nice boy and deserves the best.”

John Stones will miss the Carabao Cup final as he was suspended in the Villa game for his harsh tackle on Jacob Ramsey.

“He’s helped us in different situations this season, scoring goals, defending well, keeping the ball, you can name so many ways he’s helped us this season,” Fernandinho said.

“We will miss him on Sunday but I am pleased for him overall because he’s been one of the best players so far for us this season.”

Florentino Perez Warns Manchester City For Quitting ESL

Florentino Perez sent out a stiff warning to both Manchester clubs after they withdrew from the ESL.

Both Manchester City and Manchester United were controversial members of the original plans to launch the Super League.

After facing backlash from the fans, the two Premier League sides withdrew along with the other four.

“The contract of the Super League is binding. Nobody can leave, we will work all together,” Perez said on Monday night. “All the clubs signed the contracts last Saturday – there’s no problem.”

Perez also added, “Many important clubs in Spain, Italy and the UK want to find a solution to a very bad financial situation. The only way is to play more competitive games. If instead of playing the Champions League, the Super League helps the clubs to recover the lost earnings.

“Here at Real Madrid we have lost a lot of money, we are all going through a very bad situation. When there is no profit, the only way is to play more competitive games during the week. The Super League will save the clubs financially.”

Manchester City’s very own manager and players were against the move altogether, as were majority of the footballing community across the planet.
