Stefan Ortega extends Manchester City stay until 2026
In a move that underscores Manchester City’s commitment to depth and quality, Stefan Ortega Moreno has inked a one-year extension to his contract, securing his place at the Etihad Stadium until the summer of 2026.
The German goalkeeper, whose performances have been pivotal in City’s recent successes, expressed his delight at the extension.
Reflecting on his journey since joining City in July 2022, Ortega Moreno noted, “My first two years at City have been incredible. This club provides everything we need to be our best. I’ve improved as a goalkeeper, and my family is settled here in England. I love everything about it.”

Last season, he made 20 appearances across all competitions, including crucial moments such as his vital save against Son Heung-Min in a penultimate Premier League game at Tottenham, which played a key role in City clinching a record fourth consecutive title.
