The teenage sensation has put pen to paper on a four-and-a-half-year contract, marking a significant addition to Pep Guardiola’s squad as they look to strengthen their defense.

The reigning Premier League champions have faced challenges this season, currently trailing league leaders Liverpool by 12 points.

However, City remain determined to turn their fortunes around, and the acquisition of Reis is seen as a key step in their ambitious squad overhaul.

Reis, brimming with excitement, shared his thoughts after completing the move:

“I’m thrilled to join Manchester City, one of the biggest clubs in the world. Their recent success has been incredible, and I want to play my part in winning more trophies.

Working under Pep Guardiola is a dream for any young player, and I’m eager to develop and grow under his guidance.”

The Brazilian youngster is expected to benefit from the club’s strong history of integrating Brazilian talent, joining fellow countrymen Ederson and Savinho at the Etihad Stadium.

Reis expressed his enthusiasm about the prospect, saying: “Having familiar faces in the squad will definitely help me settle in quickly.”

City’s director of football, Txiki Begiristain, spoke highly of Reis and his potential: “Vitor is one of the most promising young defenders in world football.

Despite his young age, he has already shown incredible maturity and skill in his short senior career at Palmeiras.

His composure on the ball and aerial ability make him a perfect fit for our style of play.”

The signing of Reis follows City’s recent capture of Uzbek defender Abdukodir Khusanov from Lens for £34 million.

The club’s ambitious rebuild, reportedly set to cost around £250 million, signals their intent to dominate both domestically and in Europe.

Meanwhile, City fans are bracing for potential exits, with veteran defender Kyle Walker on the verge of joining AC Milan.

The Englishman has reportedly traveled to Italy for a medical ahead of a loan move, which could become permanent.

As City continue to reshape their squad, the arrival of Vitor Reis is seen as a crucial investment for both the present and future success of the club.
