Manchester City have officially announced the signing of Brazilian winger Allan Elias from Palmeiras in a deal worth up to £34.2m.

The Premier League club pay an initial £32m plus £2.2m in potential add-ons for the 22-year-old, who commits his future to the Etihad Stadium with a five-year contract running until the summer of 2031.
Allan arrives as a direct replacement for compatriot Savio, who completed a £75m move to Tottenham Hotspur last week.
The right-sided winger progressed through Palmeiras’ youth system and made 96 first-team appearances for the Brazilian top-flight side, scoring nine goals and providing 12 assists.

“Manchester City, with everything they have won over the past 15 years, are one of the most attractive clubs in the world for players.
To be able to sit here today and say I have joined them is the proudest moment of my life”.
The winger, whose full name is Pablo Allan Andrade Elias, grew up in the surfing paradise of Florianopolis in southern Brazil.
He started playing futsal at age seven before joining local club Figueirense as a 14-year-old.
Palmeiras discovered him at a competition in Minas Gerais and brought him to Sao Paulo, where he wore the iconic number 10 shirt for the Under-20s, scoring 17 goals.
“I love Palmeiras and always will – but the decision to come to City was an easy one,” Allan adds.
“I want to be the best footballer I can be and the conversations I’ve had with the people at City so far has convinced me there isn’t a better place for me to fulfil my ambitions”.
Director of Football Hugo Viana describes Allan as “a really exciting player” who “thrives in the big moments and works hard for the team”.
Allan becomes City’s sixth summer signing, following Elliot Anderson (£116m from Nottingham Forest) and Ayyoub Bouaddi (£85.6m from Lille).
City have spent over £230m this window while raising more than £286m through player sales.
