Tottenham Hotspur have reached an agreement with Manchester City to sign Brazilian winger Savinho in a deal worth £75 million, with an additional £10 million available in potential add-ons.

The 22-year-old forward will now undergo a medical examination before putting pen to paper on a long-term contract at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

This move represents the culmination of more than 12 months of pursuit from the north London club, who previously failed in their attempts to secure his signature during last summer’s transfer window.
Savinho chose to remain at the Etihad Stadium last season, but his decision yielded limited rewards as he managed only seven Premier League starts under manager Pep Guardiola.
Despite showing glimpses of his considerable talent, the Brazilian found regular playing time difficult to come by in Manchester City’s star-studded squad.
Tottenham head coach Roberto de Zerbi has already committed a combined £185 million to bring midfielders Mateus Fernandes from West Ham United and Sandro Tonali from Newcastle United to the club.
The Italian manager has now turned his attention to bolstering his attacking options, with Savinho viewed as a key component of his tactical plans for the upcoming campaign.
However, Spurs appear unlikely to conclude their spending with this acquisition.
Sources indicate that negotiations for Savinho’s Manchester City teammate Omar Marmoush are progressing positively.
The Egyptian forward, who joined City from Eintracht Frankfurt for £59 million in 2025, also experienced a reduced role at the Etihad last season and could follow his teammate to north London.
Tottenham maintain their interest in Liverpool attacker Cody Gakpo as well, though questions remain over whether the club could finance a move for the Dutch international alongside potential deals for both Marmoush and Savinho.
The Savinho transfer represents a significant statement of intent from Spurs as they continue their aggressive recruitment drive under de Zerbi’s leadership.
