Man City thrashed Arsenal 4-1 last night at the Etihad.

The Cityzens now trail by two points with two games in hand and are in pole position to win the fifth league title in six years.

Two goals from Kevin de Bruyne, one each from John Stones and Erling Haaland sealed the game for Guardiola’s men last night.

The Gunners are still sitting at the top of the league table but City have now won seven in a row in the league boasting two games in hand.

Man City has been playing catchup with Arsenal for the majority of the season and Pep’s side are now in a stronger position.

Guardiola said: “Absolutely my position now, because it’s in our hands. We have to win the games in hand, but it depends on us. Until today, I preferred Arsenal’s position.

“The next three games are really important. Fulham on Sunday, then two games at home. These three games will dictate if we do what we have to do. It sounds naive, but we are behind Arsenal, they are two points in front of us.”
