Pep Guardiola glad for start of Man City's 115 charges hearing

Pep Guardiola was asked about the hearing ahead of Saturday’s home game with Brentford.

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola speaks in the current FFP violation saga hearing. The Spaniard admitted that he is glad that a hearing into City’s 115 charges for alleged breaches of Financial Fair Play rules will begin on Monday.

Manchester City have been charged with 115 breaches of its financial rules between 2009 and 2018. The Cityzens refused to accept ant violation under FFP.

Pep Guardiola tried to avoid any conversation on this matter and focused on the game instead. He was asked about the hearing ahead of Saturday’s home game with Brentford.

Pep Guardiola said that he is happy that hearing will start and he will welcome the decision. He speaks to reports, “It starts soon and hopefully finishes soon. An independent panel will decide and I am looking forward to the decision.

“I’m happy it’s starting on Monday. I know there will be more rumours, new specialists about the sentences. We’re going to see. I know what people are looking forward to, what they expect, I know, what I read for many, many years. Everybody is innocent until guilt is proven. So we’ll see.”

The hearing for this case is set to run for around 10 weeks with a final verdict and any subsequent appeal expected before the end of the season. Meanwhile, La Liga president Javier Tebas feels most Premier League sides want to see Man City punished.
