Pep Guardiola has extended his contract at Manchester City.

The former Bayern Munich and Barcelona boss has extended his stay by another two years. He has made history now with City. While in charge of both Bayern and Barcelona, Pep stayed in charge for four years each but his next year here at Etihad will take him to six years at City!

Guardiola has expressed his gratitude to City ownership and also spoke about his pride and unfinished adventure in the Premier League.

And Guardiola spoke of his delight at signing the deal, saying: “Ever since I arrived at Manchester City I have been made to feel so welcome in the Club and in the city itself- from the players, the staff, the supporters, the people of Manchester and the Chairman and Owner.  Since then we have achieved a great deal together, scored goals, won games and trophies, and we are all very proud of that success.”

City have won two league titles, three domestic cups under Pep in three seasons and will now want to take the next step to win the Champions League as well.

It remains to be seen as well if Messi is coming to the Etihad in 2021.
