Pep Guardiola wants his players to thrive under title pressure

Pep Guardiola wants to win all their eight remaining Premier League games.

The Cityzens won 2-0 over Burnley yesterday to secure the top spot in the league standings but are just a point behind rivals Liverpool.

The Reds have won ten games in a row and have reduced their 13-point gap to City since January.

The two teams will face each other next weekend at the Etihad and Guardiola claims there is no room for any slip-up.

“There are eight games left, 24 (points),” Guardiola said. “We have to feel the pressure. Every game, if we lose, we are not going to win (the title), simple as that.

“Hopefully Liverpool are going to lose against us, apart from that I don’t think they will drop points.

“We have to feel the pressure, we have to handle it. What we did in the past, when we won 14 games in a row, now we have to win eight, otherwise we will not be champions.”
