The Telegraph claims that before the summer transfer window opens, Manchester City has made Tino Livramento, a full-back for Newcastle United, a target. The 22-year-old Magpies star joined St. James’ Park in 2023 and has since made a name for himself there, eventually making his way into the England national squad.

As manager Pep Guardiola looks to reassemble his team in preparation for 2025-2026, Man City has taken an interest in Livramento, who made his Three Lions debut last November thanks to his development at Newcastle.

The former Southampton player is anticipated to be called up by new England manager Thomas Tuchel for the March international games after playing 31 games for the Toons this season across all competitions.

Man City is looking for a replacement for the late Kyle Walker, and they think Livramento will be the ideal long-term option. However, it is unclear if Newcastle will be prepared to lose a player with such enormous potential so quickly.

The athlete in question is Livramento, who is enjoying yet another successful season in the renowned black and white uniform. With 24 starts in all competitions this season, the £32 million (BBC Sport) player has been a constant under Eddie Howe.

Alan Shearer has been caught off guard by Livramento’s skill, as he and Lewis Hall have created what is perhaps the Premier League’s best full-back tandem this season. The 22-year-old even makes Theo Walcott think of a younger Gareth Bale, he told talkSPORT.

However, the Telegraph has disclosed that Manchester City is keeping an eye on a move for Livramento as a possible replacement for Kyle Walker, who is anticipated to depart permanently in the summer. This would worry Newcastle.

According to TBR Football, Manchester City has also expressed interest in signing Andrea Cambiasso, who is the other player they have their sights set on in addition to the Englishman. In their efforts to rebuild their team, Pep Guardiola and company are eager to strengthen the central midfield and right-back positions.
