Pep Guardiola has talked about building a solid defensive base to base success on.
“There are things that were so good and things we can improve,” Guardiola said of the opening months of the season.
“Sometimes it’s not easy because we don’t have much time to talk about it or train. We have to diagnose it.
“We have opportunities to get better. But there are many things that are good – the chances we concede so far, even games we lost, except Leeds, we concede not much – few I would say.
“That’s why we can build from here, be solid. We don’t concede much and from there we are going to grow.”
Pep also believes his team are ready to go on a winning run now.
“We know we play every three four days,” he said.
“I like to play football games. We are in last-16 of the Champions League, in Premier League we would love to be more up but we are not far away.
“We can get results in a row and we have a game in hand.
“We have a chance to step forward and from tomorrow we will start to do it.
“This period is so demanding, we know that, but I have a feeling we are ready to do it.”
