After six months of marketing, Phil Foden, a midfielder for Manchester City, has finally sold his Cheshire estate for over £2.9 million. In April, the England international marketed the house for £3.25 million, but he was compelled to lower the asking price.
Jackson-Stops estate brokers have sold the 25-year-old’s Prestbury estate, subject to a contract. After Foden left the home last year, a protracted hunt for a buyer ended with the sale.
After a children’s party that led to police intervention, the football player left the house. The August party, which lasted from 4 p.m. till almost midnight, was characterised by a neighbour as “louder than Glastonbury”.
Over its large size, the property has five bathrooms and four bedrooms. A private movie theatre, a fitness centre, a cocktail bar and an indoor pool are among its opulent features. The estate is protected by automated gates on a private road.
Phil Foden puts family home up for sale for £3.25m
In order to pursue his passion for fishing, Foden, his fiancée Rebecca Cooke, and their three young children have relocated into a large home in the Cheshire countryside with its own lake.
The move coincides with Phil, 25, listing for sale the five-bedroom property where his parents, Claire and Phil Senior, reside a few miles away. Neighbours have also complained to them about noise. “Phil and his family enjoyed living in Prestbury but are now settled in their new home so it makes sense to cash in and sell up the other home,” an insider stated.
If the property he purchased three years ago sells for its asking price of £3.25 million, Foden will profit by £400,000. The 24-year-old Rebecca Cooke, the Premier League champion’s childhood lover, and their three kids, including six-year-old Ronnie, live in the rural house. The family was commended by a local who said, “They are a lovely family and Phil and Rebecca seem devoted parents.”
