Riyad Mahrez is happy at Manchester City.
The Algerian winger previously showed signs of frustration due to his lack of involvement under Pep Guardiola.
But after a fair bit of time, he has grown to become an integral part of City’s attack. Mahrez scored twice in the Champions League semi-final to send City through to the final. He has also featured heavily in the Premier League to help them reclaim the crown this season.
“My future? I feel very good at Man City. There is no desire to look elsewhere,” Mahrez told RMC in a recent interview.
“I don’t know yet what my situation will be. But I’m happy in City and that’s where I want to be.”
Mahrez turned 30 this season and has a contract until June 2023. He signed from Leicester City for in 2018 and is finally enjoying a rewarding period at the Etihad. When asked about the potential of leaving City for Marseille someday, Mahrez added, “No, that’s not something I tell myself.
“I want to end my career in England and Manchester City. So, that’s not something that I am considering.”
