Rodri claims City has their own Harry Kane in their ranks.

The Premier League champions were unable to sign a new striker this summer despite their gleaming interest for Spurs captain Harry Kane.

The North London club played hardball on the 28-year old’s releause clause and refused to let their star player leave this summer.

Ferran Torres has already scored two goals this season and his teammate Rodri believes the Spaniard can undertake the burden of scoring goals.

“A player of the stature of Kane helps a lot,” Rodri admitted to Spanish outlet El Pais.

“But we have a team that has been able to win the Premier League and you have little to change.

“There are very few players who can score more than 20 goals, but that does not guarantee anything either.

“We have other players like Ferran [Torrres], for example, to play there. As a midfielder, I like to see him there because he creates a lot of spaces for you and not only comes to receive face-to-face, but in addition, he also has shots on goal.”
