Rodri is happy with his team’s ambition to keep going against Newcastle over the weekend.
The City are currently leading the Premier League table and are three points clear of Liverpool.
They recently were eliminated by Real Madrid after a devastating Bernabeu night and all their eyes are on the Premier League at the moment.
After enduring a difficult period in the past few months, Rodri explains how the team showed character and intelligence over the weekend.
“We understood the game perfectly and we had the ambition to keep going,” Rodri said. “Even though we are tired because this season has been so long, we wanted more goals because we knew it was going to be important.
“It feels a little bit better, but the job is not done, with pressure on ourselves that we have to keep fighting to win. We are going to fight until the end.
“We know it is not over. It is three more games until the maths says it is done but nothing is done. The Premier League is an unbelievable title for us, so we are going to fight until the end.”
