Pep Guardiola hails Manchester City’s youngest Champions League goalscorer

Fabrizio Romano reports that Manchester City has reached an agreement “in principle” to sign teenage goalkeeper Ben Vickery from Hibernian. The 16-year-old goalie has not yet made his senior debut, but in his home country of Scotland, he is becoming more well-known. Vickery is an amazing player who is predicted to do great things and plays for his country’s youth national teams.

In fact, Man City plans to hire him to strengthen their academy ranks because of how outstanding he has been. Scotland received word a few days ago that Hibernian had begun negotiations to sign Vickery with the defending Premier League champions.

According to Fabrizio Romano, a deal is currently nearing completion. Hibs and Man City have struck an “agreement in principle” for the teenager’s arrival, albeit the details of his transfer have not yet been made public.

Because Brexit forbids the signing of foreign players under the age of 18, Man City and other Premier League teams have been forced to steal players from Scottish, Welsh, and Northern Irish clubs.

Man City sign Ben Vickery

According to Fabrizio Romano, a transfer market insider, Manchester City and Hibernian, a Scottish team, have reached an agreement in principle to acquire the talented goalkeeper Ben Vickery.

According to reports, a contract is now nearly complete and will shortly be signed and finalized, with the Premier League winners once more being referred to as “building for the future.” Man City’s goalkeepers will probably experience some significant turbulence in the upcoming transfer windows because Stefan Ortega hasn’t been able to be a completely reassuring presence in goal.

In January, FootballTransfers exclusively reported that Diogo Costa, a goalkeeper for Porto, is a top target for the Cityzens in the summer transfer window as a possible Ederson replacement.

Manchester City has a generally good record of developing young goalkeepers; an increasing number of names have come out of the club’s academy and are now well-known across Europe.
