John Stones has hailed Ruben Dias’ impact on his own game recently.
Since coming into the side, both men have formulated a solid partnership for Manchester City at the back.
Now, the Cityzens boast the best defensive record in the Premier League with their last win over Crystal Palace ending in another clean sheet. Stones collected a fantastic brace, giving his team a brace and then taking off an assist from Dias.
“[The partnership has] been great,” Stones said. “A lot of credit to Ruben, he played a lot of games and he adapted so well to the Premier League.
“It’s not easy coming to a major club like Manchester City and putting a stamp like he has done, the level he has shown in every game. I think it’s a massive credit to him. It’s been great for me to play alongside him. He is so easy to get on with on and off the pitch.
“We kept a lot of clean sheets and we have just clicked. When it happens like that, you just enjoy playing football. I’m definitely enjoying playing with him and hopefully, we can continue for a long time.”
