Ruben Dias is delighted to still be alive in three competitions.

Man City star Ruben Dias wants to win more trophies with the Sky Blues but he is focusing only on the Premier League games.

Manchester City are targeting the title with 10 more games to go. Dias can not look beyond Saturday’s trip to Southampton in the Premier League.

Man City have two silverware trophies in the hunt as a Champions League quarter-final against Bayern Munich and an FA Cup semi-final with Sheffield United are scheduled this month.

Dias is delighted to still be alive in three competitions but says we cannot look too far ahead in our pursuit of silverware.

“Our goal every season is to go for everything,” the Portuguese defender said. “We go by processes and in the beginning, it’s about staying in the competitions – whatever they are – we just stay in but now it’s about winning things.

“There’s still a long way to go even though it will be quick now. There’s still a lot of games to play, but we take one at a time, if we think too much ahead, we start to lose the focus.

“We have to think in the moment. We do our best and nothing else. The only thing we have in mind is the next game.

“To keep putting on the pressure, to stay on the right path and to stay in every competition – the Champions League and the FA Cup. It’s all about winning the next match as it comes. That’s it.”

The boss was without Erling Haaland and Phil Foden for the win over Liverpool while Bernardo Silva was also unwell, but Dias says it shows the depth and quality of the squad.

“That’s the most important thing for us, the feeling that any one of us can make the difference, and that’s what we managed to do,” he said.

“Our team is not just one player. Our team is everyone, it showed a lot of what our team is made of. We didn’t have Erling or Phil, Bernardo was a bit sick as well but still we have loads of quality, the feeling between us of whoever plays we are going to be there – that’s the main strength we have.

“When Phil and Erling come back, everyone is fit. We can always do better, but I think [in the Liverpool win] every name stood up and it was a big answer from the team. The team was there, and we performed – that’s what we have to do.”
