Why Harry Kane Should Not Be A Target For Manchester City

Gabriel Agbonlahor has warned Manchester City against signing Harry Kane.

Reports emerged that the Cityzens were pursuing Tottenham’s star forward as a replacement for Kun Aguero.

Plenty of other clubs could land Kane, should Tottenham fail to clinch a Champions League spot this season. However, there are also certain elements to consider. Kane’s transfer won’t come cheap to anybody and the Englishman has a fairly worrying history with injuries.

Agbonlahor further believes that he might be a misfit in Pep Guardiola’s system at the Etihad. He told talkSPORT, “When you are the main man in your team you can get away with it more, but I watch the game against Burnley it was like watching a one man Wembley.

“He was trying to get a shot off at any scenario possible and Son was getting frustrated, there were other players getting frustrated, because he knows he can do it. He’s captain and knows he can get away with shooting on sight.

“With Pep there’s no way. If you’re not making that right pass and being super selfish, you aren’t playing under Pep Guardiola.”

Manchester City will need more firepower up front as was made evident this season. Gabriel Jesus’ finishing still needs some work and Aguero’s time at the club might end after this campaign.
