1. Toure First Donned Football Shoes At Age 10

A characteristic ability, he played football with loved ones in the roads of Abidjan since early on. He before long continued in his more established sibling Kolo’s strides to turn into a vital participant for the neighborhood youth group, ASEC Mimosas. Before getting his own pair of football boots, he would play in the streets with friends either barefoot or with regular shoes. Toure didn’t come from a greatly well-off family, so getting his own pair of boots proved to be a challenge.

“I just had a normal African childhood; we played football a lot, but it was always in the street and always without shoes. Boots were very expensive, and when there are seven in your family, and you say you want to buy a pair, your father wants to kill you,” joked Toure, when asked about getting his first pair of boots and his childhood.

“My family were very poor. I am one of nine siblings: two girls and seven boys. Only my brother and I play in Europe, and then three more work in Europe, and another plays in Tunisia. This family is a footballing family, but our lives have not always been good,” added the former Man City midfielder.

Toure also wanted to be a striker since his youth and has played in various positions, including midfield and centre back. He’s rather versatile that way, and has played several times as a centre back. However, he has mostly played in the midfielder for Man City and country games – and has been widely held up as one of the best midfielders ever.

“I am a midfielder who is mainly involved in the defensive phases, even if I also like to help build moves – I would say that my foremost quality is my generosity,” admitted Toure.

Nicely put, Toure.

3. Toure Was Caught Drunk Driving Once

On 13 December 2016, Touré conceded to alcoholic driving. He was captured by police on 28 November subsequent to being pulled over and discovered to be more than twice over the lawful driving cutoff. Touré said he had not “deliberately had liquor”, disclosing to the court he had drunk cola from a container at a gathering without acknowledging there was alcohol in it.

He yielded that his beverage tasted “odd” and that he felt tired subsequent to having it, yet didn’t presume he was inebriated. Judge Gary Lucy said it was “incomprehensible” that he was ignorant that he was drinking liquor. Touré was prohibited from driving for year and a half. He was further was fined a sum of £54,000, which at the time was the biggest fine for alcoholic driving in British legitimate history.

However, he ultimately left the club in 2018 and ended up retiring with China League One side Qingdao Huanghai. During his time at Manchester, he racked up stats of 316 appearances, 79 goals and 50 assists!

“When you spend a lot of money on one player, you want him to prove himself, but the way football works, one day you can be good, the next you can be bad, and the next after that, you can be very bad. I have come to Manchester City to work very hard and to help my friends make Manchester City great,” said Toure during his time at City.

“I will never forget how I have been treated here by the fans, the club and the owners, and nothing would give me greater pleasure than to finish my career as a Manchester City player,” added Toure when he was leaving the club in 2018.
