Pep Guardiola urges Manchester City to maintain flawless record in title pursuit

Pep Guardiola, the strategist behind Manchester City’s relentless pursuit of Premier League glory, has left no room for doubt: his team must secure victory in all three remaining matches to fend off Arsenal’s spirited challenge for the title.

Following their resounding 5-1 triumph over Wolves at the Etihad Stadium, where Erling Haaland dazzled with a four-goal spectacle, Guardiola emphasized the importance of maintaining an unblemished record.

Guardiola stated: “If we win the games we will be champions, so the players know it, feel it, and have the experience of doing it in the past. But they have to do it again.“It’s going to be easy? No. It’s in our hands but everyone knows you cannot make one little mistake because you will lose the Premier League. They know it, we know it.

“You see their level of consistency since the winter break, the way they are playing. It’s not the fact that they are winning, it’s the way they play.

“You smell that they are not going to lose in the games they have left. They are not going to.”

He said: “If we play Fulham after or before we have to win, and Arsenal know they have to win.

“When we arrived (on Saturday) the players knew guys if we didn’t win – ciao ciao, bye bye. See each other next season. It’s not complicated. It doesn’t matter if it’s before or after.”

With Arsenal leading the table by a slim margin, City’s destiny hinges on overcoming Fulham, Tottenham, and West Ham in successive clashes.

While Guardiola’s side displayed their championship credentials with a commanding performance, he remains wary of the looming threat posed by Arsenal. The Gunners, buoyed by their recent victory over Bournemouth, stand poised to capitalize on any City misstep.

As the fixture list unfolds, City’s encounter with Fulham precedes Arsenal’s pivotal clash with Manchester United.

Guardiola, however, downplays the significance of potential psychological advantages, focusing instead on his team’s unwavering commitment to excellence.

In a league where every point carries immense weight, Guardiola’s message is clear: City’s quest for glory leaves no margin for error.
