Bernardo Silva

B Silva stressed that every member of Man City’s squad must engage in self-reflection.

Man City star Bernardo Silva wants his team to give their best to defend their Premier League title. He has expressed that Man City’s players “need to look at ourselves” to rejuvenate their title defence.

Man City couldn’t deliver like they usually do in the Premier League. They already lost two games against Wolves and Arsenal. The Cityzens played out draw games as well.

Pep Guardiola’s men played out a 3-3 draw against Tottenham on Sunday. They are winless from the last three games which marks the first instance since March 2017. Guardiola’s debut season saw the same three-match winless streak.

City midfielder, B Silva stressed that every member of Man City’s squad must engage in self-reflection. He said, “We need to look at ourselves. We need to also finish and kill the game as we had the chances. We were very dominant [against Spurs] – against Liverpool as well. It’s very frustrating and disappointing to finish this game with just one point,” he said in his post-match interview.

The Portugal international is a key player for Man City and he would look to break the winless streak. Man City are three points behind Arsenal in first place. They will take on Aston Villa in their next game in the Premier League.
