The Cityzens paid £50m to sign Kyle Walker from Tottenham back in 2017.

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has admired Kyle Walker as one of the greatest signings in the club’s history.

The Cityzens paid £50m to sign Walker from rivals Tottenham back in 2017, which equalled a world record for a defender at the time.

The Englishman has won three Premier League titles, four EFL Cups and an FA Cup under Guardiola.

He said ahead of Tuesday’s Champions League quarter-final second leg against Atletico Madrid, “He is so consistent and year after year he puts in great performances.

“He has been one of the greatest signings for City in modern history because he rarely gets injured and he always performs.”
