Juventus nearing an agreement with Man City to land Phillips on loan

Kalvin Phillips hasn’t been regular under Pep Guardiola.

Kalvin Phillips is on the radar of various top clubs and he is supposed to leave the club in 2024. The Man City star is heavily linked with Juventus and as per the fresh reports of Marco Conterio, the Serie A giants are nearing an agreement with the Premier League club to land him on loan.

It’s most probably confirmed that Phillips will leave City but it would be a loan move. City will not sell him permanently. Juventus were already monitoring him and they were facing the task with Liverpool. ‘

The Englishman has already given his approval to the move. Man City and Juventus are negotiating the percentage of wages they would share in a loan deal.

Kalvin Phillips is one of the finest players of England and he was part of City’s treble triumph last season. He moved to City in the summer of 2022 from Leeds.

The 28-year-old hasn’t been regular under Pep Guardiola. Phillips is keen on a loan to Juventus. They are already missing the services of Paul Pogba and Nicolo Fagioli. They have current options like Weston McKennie, Adrien Rabiot and Manuel Locatelli.

Juventus want to reduce the workload of current midfielders and they need Phillips to play regular football. He will also target the Euro 2020 through this loan move.
